    Fundamentalism: the ethic of survivors

    Por BELOHLAVEK, PETER

    Sobre

This book is a mind-opener. You cannot understand fundamentalists if you cannot be aware of your own fundamentalism. Discovering that fundamentalism is a natural response to extreme menaces, whether they are true or imagined, will help you understand how fundamentalism can be avoided. At the same time it explains why and when fundamentalism must be feared. This book will help you to approach marginality in developed, underdeveloped or emerging countries. This book presents the synthetic result of a research work on human fundamentalistic behaviors. Fundamentalism is an attitude taken by any individual, group or culture whose survival is endangered. It is a natural human behavior when exposed to an extreme threat. In these cases humans need "absolute" behaviors, based on transcendent beliefs to escape from the resulting uncertainty. These beliefs can be based on religious, ideological or mythic "truths". Conventional wisdom defines fundamentalism as an extreme unadapted human behavior that imposes rules and even destroys those who do not accept them. Fundamentalism is the ethic of survivors. It has always existed, and at the beginning of the XXI century it is spreading worldwide. No institutions or individuals are mentioned in this book. The book intends to build a bridge in the understanding of the importance to deal with the problem. It proposes long-term mitigation alternatives, while diplomacy deals with global and local solutions. But diplomacy requires cooperation, competitiveness and dissuasion power. This is a very subtle "integration" of "war in peace". When reading this book please consider that 10% of the content is written in its text and 90% of the content is in its subtext. This R&D e-book includes the unicist ontology of Fundamentalism that has been researched to influence its nature.
