Gluttony: seven deadly sins series

Our heroes are seeking riches, and the world is their hunting ground. They load up with booze and cigarettes and set off on a mission to madness. Unfortunately, the prize they seek is known to others who lack any form of scruples. Across the continents they go, via train , plane, and tank, from killer cold to killer heat, lions, and native soldiers, and great trouble with telephone service. But the guys back home have troubles of their own, troubles that are somehow intrinsically linked with the globetrotters. Surely it all has to end badly, but wouldn't it be nice if just this once they succeed? And are they free of the supernatural? Don't count on it.
