"Insist~tência" by the writer THIAGO ALEXANDRE TONUSSI, follows his second book of poems, ?Ver s.o.s?. It contains verses written from 2006 to 2009. The book is a result, but also a cause, of the poet struggle to free himself by finding himself through language.
These poems were born from, and together with, the solitary steps of an author reaching the necessity of finding its own questions, answer and way in the world. Therefore, some of the poems bring a taste of his philosophical questions. They also represent the poet searching for a freedom - from his language barriers - which comes accompanied by doubts and fears. The book is also very influenced by the author first reading books. Because, as the author says: ?The steps I take are the words I read?. These influences are many: Fernando Pessoa, Dostoievsky, Classical Greek Philosophy, Joao C de Melo Neto, Manuel Bandeira, Paulo Leminsky, among many others.
Therefore, these poems represent the author sentimental, moral and intellectual encounter with different paths, new ways of seeing. It is a time, for the poet, when new doubts and hopes flourish, perfuming new dreams, ideas and ideals.
Thiago Alexandre Tonussi has a degree in Modern Language (Portuguese & Spanish) at Birkbeck ? University of London. He has lived in London since 2008. He has also lived in Brazil, Spain and Italy. Is married with Juliana C Mazzero Tonussi. And at the moment is working on his fourth book of poems.

Como o nome sugere, os versos de ?Insist~ência?, são a insistência quebradiça, equivocada (talvez?), forçada ? mas corajosa ? de quem busca livrar, expandir a si mesmo através das revelações possibilitadas pela palavra posta em liberdade para ser ? trazendo consigo o próprio autor ? algo mais, além de seus limites sejam estéticos ou de significados.
É um livro de poesia que encontra em tudo sua razão de existir.
