    ?Taking care of your business in the 21st century?  ?The ABCD formula for taking care of your business in the 21st century?  Preface  The ?Taking care of your business in the 21st-century? was born on a cold, -40 Celsius and blustery winter day.  One day as I was driving to one of my training sessions, I heard an old tune on my satellite radio. It was written by Randy Bachman and recorded by BTO (Bachman Turner Overdrive).  I was listening to taking care of business.  The lyrics of taking care of business ignited an idea within me. The idea ultimately became a formula.  The formula is simple. It's not rocket science and it won't give anyone a migraine.  This formula has also eluded many contemporary businesses all over the planet. Consumers are talking but business is not listening.  As the lyrics of the musical selection indicate, it's taking care of your business every day and in every way.  How?  It's taking care of your business every day and in every way with ABCD level of service.  Above and beyond the call of duty!  You will do whatever it takes to fulfill your promise to your customer. Words are only words but action speaks volumes and it is understood by everyone on the planet.  ?Well, get real this isn't war!?  It might not be war. However, if businesses don't understand the rules of engagement of the 21st century, many of them might not be here.  Customers today are walking human lie detectors. They know if the level of service is going to take them to the finish line with your product or service. You don?t want them only once. You want customers for life; the life of your business.  Sustainability and exponential growth in the 21st century is going to require an incredibly different mindset than the latter century. The 21st century BOS (Business Operating System) needs to have highly engaged people that are critical thinkers in order to thrive. They understand that compliance, sticks and carrots is outdated as engagement is far superior and produces greater results.  The common denominator is not the product, infrastructure and everything else that goes into developing a company or industry although that is important.  It is people. People! Powerful, positive, proactive, energized, opportunity seeking, purposeful, loving and ecstatic people! They love what they do and as a result they grow not only themselves but also the company.  These are not robots or clones rather they are real people. They understand the ABCD formula for taking care of their business in the 21st century.  Now it?s your turn. Are you ready, willing and able?
